So this guy is more competing with music libraries than composers. And then there's the obvious factor that a lot of times composers are hired to hit specific moments/timing which these tracks can't really do without heavy music editing. Sometimes they might even actively steer away from something like this because it's not exclusive and they can't own it outright themselves. They want something fresh/unique/particular. When I get hired it's because the client needs something that doesn't neatly fall into a generic category like "Punk Track A" or "Orchestral Piece B" - they need a very specific tone/vibe, and they also don't usually want something that's sitting on the internet free for anyone to use. But on the other hand this type of thing wouldn't have stolen any gig I've had. Composer here also - I'm with you that overall it's bad for business and devalues music in people's heads.
